大阪府出身のシンガーソングライター。1997年に国立音楽院を卒業後、渡米。15枚のオリジナルアルバムをリリース、毎年年間250公演以上の国内外ツアーを行なっている。近年のアメリカツアーでは、終演後バークリー音楽大学の生徒で物販席に長蛇の列が出来、CDやTシャツが完売、リリースツアー途中で新譜が無くなる場面も。通常エレクトリックギターとピアノでのソロ弾き語りパフォーマンスが多いが、ツアー先で共演者との即興ユニットやバンド編成でのパフォーマンスも行なっている。

『Live in New York City』など、ピンクのジャケット写真はNY在住の写真家、Desmond Picotte氏による作品。

Osaka-born SiMoN’s music is described as “inspired music,” by Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier, and is a delightful addition to the local bill. SiMoN’s work is a lo-fi mashup of different elements of stylistic pop. 15TH ALBUM album, “Garnished with Rosemary” (2025) is a slow, ballad-esque jam with jazzy guitar chords and filtered vocals.

SiMoN has been actively pursuing music his whole life. In his early teens, he played in numerous alternative rock bands, and eventually began SiMoN in 2004. Since then, he has played over 3000 shows, all over the world. SiMoN has shared stages with artists likes Jesse Harris,Dinosaur Jr.,Phoenix,Cloud Nothings,The Raveonettes,Rhye,Nina Persson of The Cardigans, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.  There were long lines of Berklee College of Music students at the merchandise booths, CDs and T-shirts were sold out, and new albums sometimes ran out during release tours. Pink jacket photos such as ``Live in New York City'' are the work of New York-based photographer Desmond Picotte.
